Integration Management Office (IMO)

Newly acquired PE organizations face multiple challenges at the outset of any acquisition, even if robust Day-1 and 100-Day plans are in place. Deal fatigue, uncertainty and anxiety around upcoming changes, a less-than-perfect communication strategy, and the labyrinth of IT obstacles, among other challenges, are only just a few issues that further complicate any integration.

These, as expected, can further complicate the delivery of the plan and the realization of the full value of the deal.

It is here where an Integration Management Office (IMO) becomes critical: to act as the “orchestra director” across all areas to execute the plan. Some of the key IMO functions are:

Manages program milestones, decisions, and key meetings.
Manages dependencies and provides a forum for escalating and resolving complicated issues.
Guides, challenges, and provides thought leadership to teams.
Provides teams with tools, templates, and processes to deliver on their initiatives.

At Catalycs, we can support CFO-sponsored integrations by standing up the IMO and acting as the drumbeat for the program.
